Role Overview

Ruby Path Strategies is seeking Conversation Partners to socially connect with incarcerated individuals through written correspondence. Participants are matched based on shared interests and engage in casual, respectful conversation designed to reduce isolation and support emotional well-being during incarceration.

This is not employment, therapy, advocacy, or counseling.

This opportunity is similar to paid surveys or micro-writing tasks and is intended as supplemental, passive income only.

All coordination, facilitation, and message relaying is handled by Ruby Path Strategies.

What You’ll Do

• Write social, everyday messages to one matched incarcerated individual

• Discuss general topics (interests, hobbies, life experiences, goals, ideas)

• Use an alias (no real name required)

• Submit messages through our system for relay

• Participate at your own pace with no required schedule

What You Will NOT Do

• No contact with correctional facilities

• No coordination, moderation, or logistics

• No counseling, advice-giving, or advocacy

• No requirement to continue a match long-term

You may pause, request rematching, or stop participating at any time.

Privacy & Boundaries
• Aliases only — no real names required
• No exchange of personal contact information
• All messages are relayed and monitored for safety and compliance
• Participation is voluntary and non-exclusive
